The terrace and view were lovely, and perhaps the damp would be less of an issue in summer. It had been raining a lot while we were there, so that may have made it worse. The staff, breakfast, and wider setting were nice, but the rooms were a letdown. I don't mind basic fittings, though ours smelled musty and had visible spots of mold on the walls. The first room had a bathroom built into natural rock, which looked interesting but made everything smell a bit like an underground cave. We asked to move, and the staff were nice about it. The second room was better, but still had some mold on the walls and peeling bathroom paint; the photos are from that room. The bed was incredibly hard, the hardest I've had in a hotel, even compared with very cheap places. At checkout, they didn't offer compensation or ask if we were happier with the second room. I regret what we paid for an en-suite room, since the rooms with corridor bathrooms were almost half the price, making them more of a bargain by Taormina standards. I'd only recommend this hotel if you need a cheap, friendly option and are okay with an external bathroom. The more expensive en-suite rooms really aren't worth it.

The garden was full of greenery and had a cozy feel, and we could use both it and the rooftop. Our room had a stunning view and was clean and comfortable, right in a central location. We stayed for 2 nights and had a great time. Michele, our host, was really friendly and helpful, as were all the staff. Breakfast was tasty, with different options. We'd definitely come back!

The lush gardens, charming greenery, and terrace view made the place feel homely, and the bed was cozy. The location was ideal, close to everything. We really enjoyed our stay.

Leonardo made breakfast a delight each morning. He was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Michel, the manager, also went out of his way to help with our requests and made us feel welcome. The guesthouse was charming and had all the comforts we needed for a relaxing stay. We had a wonderful time in Taormina, and the staff, service, and beautiful location made it memorable. I'd highly recommend it.
