Le Villette - Taormina

We stayed in Aloe, one of two apartments here, with Agave being the other. It was 100% fabulous. Flavia, who runs the place, was lovely and couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. She even booked a couple of trips for us. The location in Taormina is great, around 10 minutes on foot from the main tourist area and 5 minutes from the bus station. The apartment is set behind and uphill from it, so you can't see or hear it. There's also a private parking space, which is a godsend if you've rented a car at the airport, since town parking is very expensive. The terrace has a beautiful view over the Ionian Sea, plus a jacuzzi with a great ocean view, loungers, dining areas, and a BBQ. Inside, it's very clean and beautifully decorated, with a fully equipped kitchen-diner, air-conditioning in every room, two good double bedrooms, and a sofa bed in the lounge. There are modern TVs in the lounge and bedrooms if you really want them on holiday. I'd definitely recommend it as a base for a holiday in eastern Sicily.
