Taormina Bedda Rooms

It’s worth knowing this is a three-room apartment in a residential building that’s been turned into a B&B, rather than a typical B&B. There’s just a corridor inside, with no shared areas or reception. The apartment is on the second floor without a lift, though the landlord helps with luggage. There’s no on-site parking, but you can unload; parking is 200 meters away and costs 15 euros for 24 hours or 24 euros for 48 hours. Breakfast is served outside at the bar opposite the hotel, a 100 meter walk. The 6 euro voucher per person per day covers coffee and two sweet snacks. The landlord is very nice, helpful, and quick to respond to problems. The rooms are new, clean, and nicely furnished; the bathroom is too, though it’s small. There’s a pleasant view of the historic square. The location is excellent, 100 meters from the pedestrian area in the old town and 200 meters from the funicular down to the coast, which costs 3 euros each way. My only complaint about the room was the very soft, uncomfortable bed. I also found it a little overpriced.

Simona was a great help with everything, and the service and cleanliness were excellent. It’s right in the center, but the courtyard is quiet. It felt safe for a solo traveler and had plenty of space for families.

We couldn’t make our planned stay at Taormina Bedda rooms because Catania airport caught fire two days beforehand. We let the owner know, but after several calls and discussions they wouldn’t compromise, and we lost our money.

Very clean and comfortable, with a beautiful mountain view right in the city center.
