Old Memories House

We spent two nights here as a group of four and found the price of over €200 a night outrageous. The online photos were lovely, but they gave us the wrong impression. We could barely sleep and were glad to leave. The only place we could sleep was the master bedroom. There were some positives: the coffee was free, the small terrace had a nice view, and the old town was a seven-minute walk away. But parking nearby was always full, and getting to the apartment meant climbing lots of stairs. That would be very difficult with lots of luggage, small children, or for older guests. The stairs were also unlit. There was nowhere to stand our suitcases in the cramped room, the bunk bed had no guardrail, and the sofa bed was only 120 cm wide, so it wasn’t suitable for two people. The air conditioning units were dusty and unusable. The small room’s unit was connected to the bedroom, so it couldn’t be controlled separately, and it was dusty too. Several electrical outlets were broken. The adjacent hotel’s engine room or backyard was right beside us, with machinery humming all night. Opening the windows brought a strong gasoline smell, and we couldn’t see the sunrise.

We were disappointed by the cleanliness, which left a lot to be desired. The bedding was mediocre too, and reception could use improvement.
