BB Nonna Paola

The owner's courtesy was a real plus, and the room was decent, so the stay was satisfactory overall. I spent three nights at Nonna Paola B&B and wanted to share some honest feedback for the owners and future guests. The room was pleasant, simple and tidy, with basic, fairly inexpensive furnishings that worked fine for a short visit. Cleanliness was generally good. The location is accessible, though the area feels underdeveloped and isn't especially attractive. The main comfort problem was a sewer smell that lingered in the bathroom throughout our stay. It might be fixable by checking the siphon or repairing the drain, but it shouldn't be overlooked. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. Despite the B&B name, no breakfast was provided. The property has an arrangement with a bar that isn't particularly upscale, and I really wouldn't recommend it. The manager should reconsider: raising the room price a little and offering breakfast at one of the more welcoming nearby bars would make a big difference. A few improvements to the building and a proper B&B breakfast could make the experience much better. One more thing, I do recommend the family-owned restaurant below the B&B. The food is good and the atmosphere is pleasant.

The rooms are basic, but roomy and clean. It's very central, and although parking is on the street, I was able to find a spot.

The owner is a lovely, welcoming person. If you're staying near the Navy barracks, this is a great choice, just a two-minute walk away.

We had a really nice stay. The rooms were clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the large shower was very comfortable. The owner was friendly and helpful. Breakfast came as a voucher for the bar just down the road. I recommend this lovely B&B!
