The owner is friendly and kind. There are lots of typical Mediterranean restaurants nearby, along with places to visit. Really a good place.

The room was in a great spot, right in the heart of Taranto's Old Town, and the owner eventually brought us breakfast coupons, though there was some delay. We were put in a ground-floor room with poor air circulation and paid the same as for the room we were originally meant to get. I understand things like that can happen during renovations or other unexpected situations. The serious issue was that the owner's employee came into the house at 5:50 a.m. while we were asleep, without warning, even though the door was locked. We weren’t compensated for it.

The only thing going for this place is the location. The houses seem to have belonged to someone’s deceased grandmother, with old, never-renovated rooms packed with dirty, rusty furniture. The bathrooms were disgusting, and I found dog hair and fur on the floor. I swept and mopped it myself. With my two little girls, I even considered sleeping in the car. There were no screens, the fans didn’t work, and the fake air conditioner was useless. Cleanliness was below zero. I told the owner, Graziana, all of this in person. Shameful.
