We stayed in Nicolo Apartment on the first floor. It was nicely equipped and had a spacious bathroom, though sadly no terrace or view. The old house has charm and character after its recent renovation. Check-in and checkout were easy, and there are a few parking spaces on the street, though they're limited.

Our apartment had a huge terrace, perfect for spending the evenings, and the staircase was tastefully done. A nice surprise came after the night when the apartment had been cleaned. We were very happy with the apartments and would highly recommend them.

The location is right in the heart of Taranto's old town, looking out over the port. Restaurants, shops, and public transport are just outside, and the central railway station is an easy 15 minute walk away. Once you have the keys, you can also use the lift down to street level. Inside, the loft-style apartment is lovely and well equipped, with a great shower, kitchenette and dining area, and a very comfortable bed. The AirCo heats as well, and the wifi is very good. Everything felt high quality, from the furniture and towels to the dishes. The cleaning lady was friendly, respectful, helpful, and always smiling. Definitely recommended.

We couldn't stay in that dark, dingy room. It was nothing like the bright, airy pictures on Don Alfredo's website, and the windows faced a wall so close you could touch it. It felt like a dungeon. My wife and I booked somewhere else at the last minute, then asked for our money back for the 2 unused nights. We got nothing, not even 50%. I'm utterly disgusted. Avoid it, Don Alfredo doesn't deserve your custom.

The staff and owner were so friendly. Our room was very big and clean, and the train station is nearby.
