I Citri

The rooms are nicely designed, but there were several issues. We weren't sent the instructions for finding the apartment, or the access codes and key details in advance. The room smelled unbearably strong of artificial deodorant. There was no air-conditioning remote in our room or the other one, which seemed intentional. The cleaning lady arrived at 7:30 in the morning and made a lot of noise, waking us up. Nobody spoke English.

Pena was friendly and punctual, and brought a lovely breakfast every morning: coffee, croissant, sandwich, yogurt, and fresh fruit. The bed was very comfortable, and there's also a pull-out sofa in the living room. We can't wait to stay again. The apartment was a good size and had air conditioning. Our room was on the seventh floor, with a million-dollar view of the city. The beach is three blocks away, there's a convenience store around the corner, and we could walk to the trains when it was time to leave.

The breakfasts were delicious, and Pina served them with such a cheerful, pleasant manner. Señora Pina is a marvel, a colorful Italian who you can talk with even without knowing the language. The apartment was lovely, very clean, comfortable, and beautiful, with everything you need. It's in a central spot, five minutes' walk from the beach. I recommend it 100%. 👌🏽🌊

The location was a real plus, with the seaside boulevard only a few streets away, and we had plenty of room in the apartment on the sixth floor of a stylish building. There were two large rooms and a shared area to unwind in. The air conditioning worked very well, though the Wi-Fi was painfully slow, and the little balcony went unused. Sleep was less comfortable: the spring mattress was not good, and despite the bathroom looking lovely, I would have much preferred a shower to a tub. I have long hair and didn't even try washing it while we were at I Citri, since the setup just wasn't practical. The building's elevator is tiny, so we mostly used the stairs. Anyone who feels cramped in small spaces may want to avoid it. Breakfast was pretty basic. We each got two slices of white bread with ham and lots of mayonnaise, a croissant with Nutella or marmalade, and some yogurt. On the second morning, the woman added grapes, which was a nice change. There's no parking provided by I Citri, but we found a spot nearby without trouble. Street parking in Taranto is paid.
