La terrazza di nonnAnna

We loved watching the view from the terrace, especially at sunrise and sunset. The location was ideal for our romantic getaway, and being near the city center and nearby attractions made exploring Taranto easy. We stayed three nights at B&B La Terrazza di NonnAnna. Our room was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, and the hosts were warm and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Breakfast each morning was delicious, with a variety of local treats. We highly recommend it for a charming stay in Taranto.

We had paid and booked through Booking.com, then drove several kilometers to get there. Before arriving, we messaged the host to ask about an early check-in and got no reply. At the official check-in time, 15:00, we were told bluntly that the room wasn’t ready because the previous guests had supposedly left late. We even saw people on the balcony of what looked like our assigned room, so they may still have been inside. We waited more than an hour, with no solution, consideration, or sincere apology. We ended up cancelling and leaving, then lost a valuable part of the afternoon trying to find somewhere else at the last minute. For paying customers who had reserved in good faith, this felt unacceptable, disrespectful, and humiliating. A disastrous experience and shocking lack of professionalism. Avoid this place at all costs.

Emanuele is a perfect host, and the room was spacious, charming, and comfortable, with artistic touches all around. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the harbor was splendid. The place is in Taranto’s old section, where you won’t find multinational corporate stores, which was a welcome relief. It’s still an easy walk to the newer part of town. Highly recommended!

The top terrace was a lovely spot for breakfast or to relax any time of day, looking out over the sea. Emanuele was exceptionally kind and helpful, sharing ideas on what to visit in the area and arranging an early breakfast for me. My room was exceptionally clean, and I loved the decor and attention to detail. A wonderful, comfortable stay. I’ll definitely return!
