The room was spacious and the view was spectacular, but the bathroom was awful. The toilet was dirty, the tub was clogged and crusted, there was dust all over, and the fan didn't work in a bathroom with no window. My father had a smaller room, and its bathroom had no bidet. We're in Italy, so you always expect a bidet! We told the manager, but she didn't seem very interested in what we had to say. I can't recommend it.

The owner, Piero, was kind and attentive to requests that could make our stay nicer. We had access to the keys and there were no fixed hours, as long as everyone respected basic courtesy and shared living. The place is well kept, with three roomy bedrooms equipped with what you need.

My room may have been the smallest one. It was decent, but really tiny. Small may be beautiful, but for what I paid, I've found bigger and decent places elsewhere.

It was hard to find the place in Tarquinia's winding center, and my phone's GPS went haywire, so I had to ask a friendly passerby for directions. Once there, though, I found a lovely room in a beautifully renovated old house, and Piero was very helpful. What more could you ask for?

The owner and staff are friendly, polite, and always ready to help. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was good and generous too. I'd happily recommend it to anyone visiting Tarquinia.
