B&B al Corso

I spent two nights here, but what I found didn’t match what I’d expected from the website. The room was very small, and I found hair all over, including on the guest towels. The bathroom was dirty and, in my view, hadn’t been cleaned. Flushing the toilet meant I had to move away because water could splash onto me. For breakfast, the hostess handed us two coffee pods when we arrived, and that was all. Given the cramped space and poor hygiene, we went to a bar instead. I wouldn’t recommend booking without checking the room’s condition before paying.

I was sent to this B&B after asking the owner about another property she had. The other B&B’s advertising had led me to expect a double bed, a spacious full bathroom, and modern furnishings. Instead, at first for the same price and reluctantly, I found myself in a tiny room with bunk beds, careless cleaning, makeshift furniture, and a dirty toilet. There was no bidet, and the towels felt rough enough to exfoliate with. Breakfast is set out in the entryway, which is too small for everyone, so I ended up eating on the lounger in my room. I’d have been fine with all this if I’d chosen it myself. I don’t like being misled.

This place is embarrassing, it should be closed! The L-shaped room had two sagging cots, and it was too cramped to even push them together. There was pubic hair in the toilet and hair in the shower. The air felt stuffy and horribly damp, and everything smelled, including the beds, pillows, and towels.

The room was cozy, clean, and quiet, and breakfast was excellent. The location is lovely, right in the old city center, a few steps from the museum and one kilometer from the necropolis.
