The pool area was a highlight, with hot tubs and hammocks. The rooms are beautiful too, and the accommodation feels luxurious. Such a stunning place.

The setting is beautiful, which made the evening all the more disappointing. I’d booked the Ferragosto churrasco dinner based on the information provided, but what we were served didn’t really match a churrasco. At €50 per person, the amount and quality of the food didn’t justify the price.

The prices are far too high for what you get, from cocktails that disappoint to expensive umbrellas and loungers. Service has gone downhill since last year, and the changing rooms and general cleanliness have declined too. It felt like a disappointing visit with little care or personal attention, and poor value for money.

We enjoyed the pizza on Thursday night, and at lunch today I tried the Piaci with Camtabrico anchovies, lime, and toasted breadcrumbs. It was exceptional. The restaurant is excellent, with good service in a lovely little square by the fountain. Parking was easy, and the area was quiet. It felt like paradise. I haven’t seen the rooms, so I can’t comment on them.
