Il Poggetto Piccolo Hotel

The area around the B&B is beautiful, and the room was very clean and lovely, especially the one with a balcony. We had bottled water, a coffee machine, a great bed, and a lovely shower with toiletries. I’m sorry my review came across as negative, because I did like the room. After I sprained my ankle, though, it was hard to manage. There are only stairs, and no one is on site if you need something. Phone contact was good, but the owner wasn’t always available, and it took quite a while before we were allowed to eat in our room. Eventually we could take plates upstairs. Most hotels let you eat in the room, so I found the rule a bit strange in my situation. In the off season, finding somewhere to eat can also be difficult. My husband had to go to a bar several times because the freezer was locked away and there was no ice available. It wasn’t convenient, and I would have preferred more personal attention. I think I’d rather stay somewhere with people on site.

The staff serving breakfast were very friendly and kind, and gave us lots of useful travel suggestions. The breakfast itself was excellent, with homemade cakes. We spent three days at Il Pogetto and had nice, comfortable bedrooms with all the luxury comforts. Excellent value for money.

A stylish place in a superb landscape, with a great location and very clean rooms. We received a warm welcome and good service, and the price was reasonable. Highly recommended.
