Notte Serena

The only thing I can say in its favor is that the air conditioning worked. I stayed at "Studio Notte Via Roma," which was useful only because I was having surgery at the clinic across the street the next day. The "Studio Notte" and "Notte Serena" places are near each other, but the photos online and on booking.com show only "Notte Serena." My room was Paris-style and not very clean. There was no shower curtain, the drains smelled, the shutters were broken and stuck open, and there was mold everywhere. The sheets had holes, some TV channels didn't come in, and I had to watch Sanremo on my phone using my own connection because there was no Wi-Fi. There was no shared kitchen, and the mini-bar was noisy and empty. Nobody asked for ID. €85 was requested for two nights, and I deliberately left €60 in the drawer with the keys, as Mr. Valerio asked. He had no interest in the problems. Never again!

The price was fair, and breakfast was simple: brioche, coffee, milk, and juice. The owner made me feel at ease right away with his kindness, helpfulness, and trust. I stayed two nights and felt at home, not like a stranger. The place was clean too. I'll be back! 😃

The welcome felt rushed, and the room, though reasonably clean, wasn't well maintained for a guest's stay. In the bathroom there were just TWO bars of soap for daily hygiene, the TV barely worked, and there was no Wi-Fi. Breakfast included four packaged croissants, tea bags, coffee pods, some fruit juice, small water bottles, and less than half a liter of skimmed milk to share among three other couples. What else is there to say? A terrible B&B, I don't recommend it.

A total letdown. There was no breakfast included in the price, and no information at all, whether through Booking.com, over the phone, or at the property. The owner seemed completely uninterested and was rude when I contacted him about check-in. The place felt entirely abandoned. Avoid.
