Parco Augusto

It's a peaceful place in the countryside, good for relaxing and unwinding. You're still not too far from the beach, and the hotel offers a bus to take you there. There are also good restaurants around. The hotel itself is good, but I didn't think the food was good enough for an Italian hotel.

The beach and restaurant were the only good parts for me. The restaurant itself was quite nice and the food there was good. The rooms felt like 2-star standard, though the bathroom was nice. The meals at the hotel were awful. Breakfast was cold even when I was first to be served, and staff wouldn't bring bread unless asked. They didn't even bother to say hello, and getting anything arranged was a chore. Dinner was the same mix of two dishes from the day before. The ingredients seemed as cheap as possible, and I was hungry all the time. Canned fruit and drinks in little plastic cups didn't help. The all-inclusive bar was a constant series of "excuse me" moments, with only one bottle of martini for the whole evening, and the same shortage for other drinks. This was the worst 4-star hotel I've stayed in. To me, it's a 2-star hotel with the worst food, if you can call it food. I'd avoid it.

We stayed from 26.09 to 03.10 in a double room on the third floor, with twin beds, a large bathroom, and a lovely, cozy patio overlooking Terme Vigliatore. The room and its cleaning service felt like 3-star standard, not 4-star. The spa and pool weren't included in the room price. Breakfast was horrible, while dinner was more like a 3-star meal. The staff's English wasn't very good, but with some patience we could sort out our problems. The train station is very close to Parco Augusto. My final rating: this is a 3-star hotel, not 4-star.

The pool was good, and the rooms were clean with working air conditioning. Breakfast was a disaster. It runs from 7:30 to 9:30, but by 9:00 the food was nearly cleared away and there was almost nothing left to eat.
