Le Palme Village

The bungalow was pleasant and the sheets were clean, and the staff were brilliant. The restaurant was a letdown, though. We found the food poor for the price, and I’ve never had pasta this tasteless, even after being told a Michelin-starred chef was cooking. I’m a chef myself, so that was especially disappointing. We’d been charged €22 for a tiny serving of boiled pasta with bland tomato sauce; if I stayed again, I’d get ingredients at the local shop and cook in the room. We’re athletes and need eggs at breakfast. There was a good continental spread of cheese, ham, and pastries, but an omelette cost extra. We asked for one each, just four eggs in total, and were charged €18, though we’d also been told omelettes were €7. It isn’t about the money, but eggs should be a standard option when breakfast is included. That’s why I gave one star, for the restaurant food and what it costs.
