As soon as we arrived, we cancelled the reservation. It was a disgraceful experience, and we didn’t even get into the room. My partner, my two dogs, and I lost our weekend, along with trips and commitments we’d already booked. I always call ahead to check that dogs are accepted, and Mrs. Sara told me they were, as long as they were calm. We were meant to arrive at 2:00 PM, but they called to say they could only meet us at 3:00 PM, so we waited an hour. A very kind man greeted us, since the owner wasn’t home. We politely asked whether the cleaning lady could skip our room during those two days. One morning we wanted to stay in late, and the other we wanted to leave the dogs for a few hours. My elderly dog had recently had a stroke and couldn’t stay outside all day, especially in the hottest hours. I was worried they might bark if strangers came in and disturb us. The young man called the owner to ask about it. She didn’t realize he had her on speakerphone and replied in a very aggressive, rude tone: “They can't just do whatever they want. The cleaning lady absolutely has to come in, especially because it's a way for me to keep an eye on them!” She said the cleaning lady would arrive at 11:30, which would disrupt our days and commitments. We decided to leave because we couldn’t manage our weekend freely. I was disappointed, but I still wrote to thank her for her effort and left a private review, kindly asking her to be clearer next time about welcoming dogs and the hours guests need to follow, because this had caused us harm. She seemed to have trouble understanding the message, then seriously insulted me, saying I live on another planet. She said there was no point talking further and that she could even report the mistreatment of my animals, though I don’t know to whom, because I wanted to leave them in the room during the hottest hours of the day. I was astonished and tried to answer politely. I never dared to offend her. Then she blocked me on WhatsApp. Adding insult to injury. Ms. Sara, I was trying to help you understand what I kindly wanted to ask. May kindness and common sense always accompany you 🙏🏻 Reply to your response: 1. Out of respect for your rules, we cancelled because dogs were not welcome. We also didn’t appreciate your aggression and rudeness when we heard you on speakerphone. 2. We had already made friends with the other guests, and they immediately adored our dogs. 3. I have all the conversations too, and they show my politeness towards you and your threats towards me. I NEVER ASKED YOU TO LOCK MY DOGS UP FOR 48 HOURS, that was just something you insinuated. I ask you not to repeat this absurd question, made up and written by you, because I’ll keep the whole chat in case it’s needed. 4. I’ve noticed that in other negative reviews about your behavior, you tend to twist stories and make up lies. I’m very sorry for your distress. I hope you never meet someone like yourself along the way, truly.

The shower behind the bed was a delightful touch, and my girlfriend and I loved our vacation stay here. Everything was meticulously cared for down to the smallest details, with wonderful smells throughout. Cleanliness was excellent, and the hospitality was great. I’d only suggest adding two hooks next to the shower for hanging towels, since I missed having a place for them. Parking was the sole downside, though that’s normal in the historic center. I recommend the property for even a few days away as a couple.

We came away with such lovely memories. Sara welcomed my husband and me so warmly and was kind and available whenever we needed anything. The property is right in Terracina’s historic center, with restaurants and cocktail bars nearby if you’re looking for a few peaceful days with good food and some fun. Our room was quiet and spotless, with beautiful design and a spacious bathroom featuring a comfortable, romantic tub. Terracina itself is enchanting. Everything was truly beautiful. I hope this criticism helps the people who stay after us receive better treatment. I’m sorry you took it so lightly. I’m not dishonest, and I’m certainly not a liar. To be clear, did the room have working heat? Did the woman at check-in tell us about the Wi-Fi? Was there a shower in the room, and wasn’t the bathroom door transparent? We paid €100, didn’t we? You can set aside the croissants, since they were part of the package and obviously weren’t your fault. Kind regards, and good luck.
