Borgo Fajani

We were eight in a charming, spacious house, with comfortable beds, fresh clean bathrooms, and bedrooms fitted with new air conditioning that was a lifesaver on hot nights. The old Tuscan style has been restored beautifully. The kitchen is modestly equipped but has enough, and there’s a big dining table, plus a sofa and armchairs in the shared living room. Outside, each group has its own dining table and chairs, as well as a place with sun loungers beside the lovely pool overlooking the view. It’s a peaceful spot, with fields and wineries nearby, and Alfredo was friendly, helpful, and full of useful local knowledge. He had a positive attitude, knew the area well, and communicated wonderfully with guests. A unique, atmospheric place for a family or group of friends. Thanks for everything, Alfredo. We miss you already.

The pool and grounds were clean and well cared for, and the welcome was adequate. The owner deserves credit for renovating several homes in this little village, and the location makes it easy to visit Florence, Siena, Pisa and Volterra. But the accommodation itself lacked charm and wasn’t as quiet as we expected. Our English neighbors talked loudly late at night and very early in the morning, apparently unaware others were staying there. The barbecue was filthy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time, so we didn’t want to cook on the terrace. The alley is also awkward for cars, with pebbles everywhere, and villagers returning at 2 or 3 in the morning made quite a racket.

The owner, Alfredo, was friendly and helpful, and all his tips were useful. The house felt just like the Tuscan home you picture, with open countryside views. Inside were two bedrooms, two lovely bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. There’s a clean pool with loungers and parasols, plus a covered shady spot by the house with a table and four chairs. Covered parking can fit even a larger car.

The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, and we’d love to come back 🤗. This charming house sits in an old village and has roomy spaces and everything a family needs for a holiday. The barbecue area and pool, looking out over the Tuscan hills, make the setting complete.
