Our room was spotless. The one-bedroom setup had a small kitchen, a living area, and a separate bedroom that opened onto a patio with seating. You'll need a car to get around. Jole' in La Rosa is nearby and usually has food available outside regular meal times.
The staff at the front desk and everyone else we met were especially service-minded, which was the best part of our stay. Our room was spacious and new, with a kitchen and outdoor space, and everything was well maintained. The resort is in a scenic, quiet town, with lovely countryside views and a great pool down the hill from the rooms. It's also handy for visiting Florence and Pisa, as well as smaller places like the art-focused neighboring village of Peccioli.
We've just returned from our fourth visit to Borgo, and love it there. The staff are always five-star, and the resort is well placed for seeing the area's best spots. Florence is about a 40-minute drive away, or you can take an easy train trip.
We had a wonderful view and didn't want to leave. Everything else was lovely too, and the staff were efficient. They arranged excellent wine tasting and truffle-hunting tours for us.
The suites are gorgeous, and make a great base for exploring Tuscany. I was a little concerned at first because there weren't many amenities listed, but the staff were courteous, helpful, and accommodating. Each morning, a pastry company sets up for half an hour with delicious pastries. The views were just right, and although we were sad to go, we're already looking forward to coming back.
