La Contea

The peaceful surroundings made it easy to relax, and Porto Pino beach is just a 10-minute drive away. It felt like arriving at a little fairy-tale farm, with a friendly dog and cat keeping us company throughout our stay. The owner was lovely too. Our room had its own entrance, and it was spacious and clean. There was a private refrigerator and air conditioner, and we could park right beside the accommodation. We also saw geese, sheep and other animals on our walk. We’d come back if we visit this part of Sardinia again. 🥰

The rooms are a decent size and fine for a quick night while passing through, but I thought the price was a bit high for what you get. Breakfast was basically just sweets, and the pillows were tiny. We got attitude from the owners for arriving at 9 pm, as though it were the middle of the night. The next day they weren’t welcoming when we tried to look around the farm. Nothing was exactly wrong with the place, but nothing felt right either, and we didn’t feel welcome.

The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, even though we turned up without a reservation around 7 pm, after check-in was over. They still set up a tent for us, and later brought breakfast right to it. The whole property was very clean, and breakfast had everything we needed. There’s a small dog on site. With a little patience it got very friendly, and it was just as sweet as the owner. The price was unbeatable, and we’d definitely recommend staying here.

The setting was lovely and pastoral, and the tent made for a unique stay. It came equipped with a fridge, air conditioning, sheets and towels. Our host welcomed us warmly, the bathrooms were very clean, and shower gel and shampoo were supplied. Homemade pastries were part of the breakfast delivered to our tent. We had two wonderful nights.
