Gallo

The staff were incredibly friendly and lovely throughout, and we couldn’t fault them. Breakfast was great for gluten-free and lactose-free options, especially the amazing gluten-free croissants. The pool was nice, with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. Our room, particularly the bathroom, felt dated, and the gym wasn’t great. It’s a nice place to stay, though it could use some modernising.

The grounds are kept to a very high standard, and the apartments have beautiful views. We found the whole place relaxing and enjoyable, with excellent accommodation and service for exploring Lake Garda. We loved it, would recommend it to anyone, and plan to come back. The one downside was the shared balcony. The German couple next to us had a lot of beer and talked or played music very loudly, often late at night. The woman smoked heavily all day, so between the noise and clouds of smoke, we didn’t feel we could sit outside very often.

A really good hotel, with a clean, tidy room and a good breakfast. The pool area had a nice view over Garda lake. The owner and staff were helpful and kind. I’d recommend it to anyone, and we’ll definitely visit Hotel Gallo again.

Back in Tignale for Easter, and it already feels relaxing! This is a cozy, family-run Italian hotel in Tignale / Gradolo, on the mountainous western side of Lake Garda. It gets sun all day and has fantastic lake views. Around Easter, the full moon over Monte Baldo and Lake Garda at night is especially scenic. The Italian cuisine is down-to-earth, very tasty, and excellent quality.
