Lifestyle Room Binario Zero

I was disappointed by the receptionist, a female staff member who offered no help when I asked about booking a taxi. I travel around Europe, and hotels usually help with this. I explained I couldn't call because I didn't have an Italian phone number, but she still didn't assist. The room was also extremely cold at night, and I couldn't adjust the heating. After we used the shampoos, housekeeping didn't replace the basic amenities on the second day. For a hotel that isn't cheap, that wasn't acceptable.

The breakfast service was very good, and the nearby Bernina Hotel, which belongs to the same group, has a restaurant serving really good dishes. This hotel is well placed for anyone travelling on the Bernina line. My room was modern but had local touches, including paintings that bring to mind places in Tirano. The bed was comfortable, and I liked the large, soft towels and the bathrobe, a nice touch for a three-star hotel.

We stayed for one night before taking the Bernina Express, and the Tirano station is only a two-minute walk away. The room was spacious and immaculate, and having a coffee machine was especially nice in the cold weather. We enjoyed the view from our patio and found the staff friendly. One thing to know: check-in is at Hotel Bernina, across from the train station, not at this hotel.

The room and bed were excellent, and the hotel is right beside the Bernina Express. But finding check-in at the nearby Bernina hotel was a hassle. There was no message or sign explaining that reception wasn't at this location, so we only learned where to go from other Google Reviews.
