Locanda la luna is an amazing place to be. Chef Emilio is outstanding, and his food feels like it comes from another universe. I recommend stopping by if you want to try what I think is the best food in the world.

We had dinner at the wonderful restaurant in the locanda, and it was simply a perfect evening. The ingredients were high quality, and the staff paid great attention to us. The chef stays true to traditional dishes while giving them a lighter, more modern touch. The pappardelle and tortellini were sublime, and we’re still dreaming about the wild boar!

The tagliolini di cinghiale were cooked perfectly, and the fried chicken with homemade fries was generous and tasty. The place is cozy and the staff friendly. We paid 100 euro for 3 people and 7 dishes total. It wasn’t cheap, but I thought the full experience justified it. Edit: changing my rating from 5 to 4 stars. This was my second visit, and the service was mediocre. The food was good, though not exceptional, and the wine was very good. I also felt the place was trying to seem more high-class than it really is. The table next to us had a Fiorentina sizzling on a stone platter, and the smell of hot oil filled the whole place.

We went for dinner and the food was average, but the service was awful. I asked for the tagliata di manzo well done, and the waitress judged me for it, so I switched to chicche. Then they forgot my order altogether. My boyfriend and his parents had finished their meal while I was still waiting. We told a waiter, who didn’t even know chicche was on the menu. When it finally arrived an hour after I ordered, I’d lost my appetite, and the waitress kept arguing that it was too early. The worst dining experience I’ve had.

This review is about the restaurant, not the hotel. We arrived without a reservation and were glad to get the last table, since the whole village was out dining. Amazing from the host to the wine and food. The Fiorentine steak was mind-blowing, and the Barolo suited both the dinner and the atmosphere.
