Hotel Chalet Gravenstein

Sophia and her family made our time in Italy with my mother feel incredibly special. The meals were Michelin-star quality, the chalet was beautifully appointed, and we slept so comfortably with those breathtaking views around us. We had to leave before 7 am for a hiking day in the Dolomites, ahead of breakfast service, so Sophia prepared a packed breakfast for us. She also stayed late the night before to sort out checkout and make the early start easy. This was the best hospitality experience of my life, and one I’m sure we’ll remember as truly special.

The gardens smelled of rosemary and lavender, and there was plenty of room to unwind by the lovely pool. We especially enjoyed eating in the garden, and after a delicious first dinner in that beautiful setting, going back for a second night was an easy choice. Breakfast was just as good, with high-quality food throughout. Our suite was stylish and comfortable, with a large private balcony. The family-run hotel is beautiful inside and out, and we felt warmly welcomed and well looked after. Sophia and her family gave us great hiking advice, with so many routes to choose from nearby. We’d only checked out yesterday and are already planning another visit. Those two nights were a happy, memorable stay.

We booked at the last minute and ended up having an unforgettable stay. The hotel sits among apple orchards, with lovely mountain views, and the gardens and pool were peaceful places to relax after a hike. Our suite had a big private balcony, and the host was kind, charming, helpful, and made us feel very cared for. We got great advice about walks, too. Both dinners in the garden were wonderful. The setting felt pretty and romantic, and every dish was delicious, carefully made, and well balanced. Breakfast was lovely as well, with fresh, high-quality ingredients. It’s hard to leave tomorrow. This is one of the nicest places we’ve stayed, and we’ll definitely be back as soon as we can. Thanks to the whole team for all their hard work.

The room was clean, the decor was beautiful, and the balcony had great views. Sophia was so warm and kind that I felt welcome right away. The location was dreamy, and the food was absolutely delicious. A perfect first visit to South Tyrol for me. I can’t wait to come back.
