The food was impeccable, from breakfast and snacks to dinner, and felt star quality. They also had a great selection of Tirolian wines. We loved the spacious, beautiful rooms, the pool area, and the dining space with its breathtaking views. The hotel sits above dorf Tirol and is a great base for hikes, with fantastic views all around. We spent three nights at hotel der Küglerhof on our honeymoon, and the staff were thoughtful, helpful, and attentive to every detail. The waiters remembered our wine order from days before and quickly learned our coffee preferences. Reception gave us good day trip tips and helped book activities. Whenever we left the room, it seemed to get checked and freshened up. We had a perfect stay and would love to return soon. Frida & Erik Gillsbro

We ended our activity-packed trip, after stays in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Cortina d’Ampezzo, with a relaxing visit to Der Kuglerhof. The views were beautiful, and Peter and Silke were so kind and helpful that they made the trip feel special. The restaurant food was excellent, imaginative, tasty, and very high quality. They also made amazing dishes for my wife’s dietary needs. Coming from California, we especially enjoyed trying the local wines from their thoughtfully put together list. The balcony gave us a breathtaking panoramic view, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Service was top notch throughout. We also enjoyed the spa, including one of the best therapeutic massages I’ve ever had. My wife had just run the Zugspitze Ultrathon, and the massage was just what her sore muscles needed. We’ll definitely return.

The food at the Küglerhof is so good it’ll knock you off your rocker. Cooked or cold, it’s your choice. This is a whole lot better than pub grub, no less. Enjoy!

The food is great, the facilities are good, and the location is amazing. But the atmosphere felt stiff. If you don’t speak German or have kids, staff and other guests may look at you like you’re aliens. Even during the football WC semifinals, when everyone, seniors included, was watching in the bar, the TV had no sound in case anyone might be disturbed. Breakfast and dinner were dead quiet, with everyone expected to eat, relax, and keep to themselves. It might be perfect if you’re a senior German citizen, but I’ve stayed in nice hotels around the world and this was one of the most rigid.
