Pension Schweigkofler

We’ve got two more days here and are already really looking forward to them. After years of visiting the Merano area in South Tyrol, this is our first stay at Pension Schweigkofler, and we’ve found a new favorite for our holidays there. The welcome was warm, just like the messages during booking. We were able to add dinner at the last minute, and it was delicious with just the right portion size.

The view from our room was stunning, and everything was clean and comfortable. We loved the morning breakfast, especially sitting outside when the weather was nice. My boyfriend and I came to South Tyrol for the first time and spent four days at Pension Schweigkofler. The service was incredibly friendly, and the location worked perfectly for us, with great restaurants nearby, especially Sparber, and attractions easy to reach. We enjoyed it so much that they let us add another day. We’ve already recommended it to others and would love to come back. :)

The dinners were a real highlight. We ate so well, and the chef is spectacular, with every dish prepared as carefully as at the best restaurants. The pool was wonderful, and there are lovely hikes in the surrounding area. The property itself is charming and exceptionally well cared for, with impeccable cleanliness in the rooms and common areas. Hans, Marion, and Cristina were courteous and helpful. We had a wonderful time, and thank you for those lovely evenings together!

There’s a bus stop right outside, and the location is fantastic. Breakfast was superb, especially the regional options, with everything you could want for a good morning meal. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and did their best to meet all our wishes. I’d gladly stay at Pension Schweigkofler again, and highly recommend it in every respect.
