I’m reviewing only the restaurant, which is part of a camping site and hotel. The food tasted good and was nicely presented, but we had a poor experience overall because the welcome and service felt cold and not very child-friendly. It was also very hot under the umbrellas. We arrived early and the waitress told us the kitchen wasn’t open in a way that made us feel unwelcome. Our toddler wandered onto the terrace and touched toys left near a table; the waitress said they were private. We later realized it was the owner and staff’s table, with personal things sitting in the middle of the terrace and no separation, which seemed unusual. We also had to ask before a baby chair was brought over. On a sunny, hot day, the staff table had a solid roof while the customers were under umbrellas that offered little shade.

We got lucky and found the last restaurant table, and the homemade food was delicious. I’d book ahead if you want to eat there, even during the week. The camping ground was incredible value, with very clean toilets and showers that always had toilet paper and different soaps. There’s a nice pool with lots of room to relax among apple trees, and service was spot on both at the restaurant and around the campsite. Thanks for the great hospitality!

We spent three nights at the camper-stop. The owners were extremely friendly, and the restaurant was good. The camping-car facilities were perfect, too. The lovely scenery and panorama, along with nearby Merano, are worth a mention as well.
