Villa kappa is just outside tivoli, low-priced, authentic, and surrounded by everything you need. It’s what we were looking for.

The rooms felt a bit bare, without furniture, dressers, or bedside tables, and it was a shame the receptionist wasn’t very cheerful. On the plus side, it was good value, the breakfast buffet was generous with freshly baked croissants, and the dining room staff were friendly and helpful.

The biggest worry came on departure day: a loose dog inside the villa chased us while we had suitcases and children with us. Cats also wandered around the tables during meals. Dinner wasn’t served because so few of us were there, and breakfast was truly sad, with packaged croissants and very little choice. We had an attic room and the Wi-Fi didn’t work in it, at least. Unfortunately, the stay wasn’t great, and I wouldn’t repeat it.
