Alessandra and Marco, who’s an architect, restored their house to a really high standard last year. They don’t live on site, but they got back to us very quickly by phone and WhatsApp whenever we had a question, and were friendly and capable throughout. There was a useful selection of guidebooks in several languages in the rooms, and they gave us good advice on sightseeing, restaurants, and parking. The B&B has two lovely rooms in the winding old quarter of TIVOLI. Both are comfortable, fairly spacious, well equipped, and tastefully decorated. It’s quiet despite being quite central, with cafés, restaurants, and shops just a short walk away. We found having a car more of a burden than a benefit here. The hosts direct guests to an inexpensive paid car park about 7 or 8 minutes away on foot, and that worked fine for us. It would help to have a little more arrival information and a dedicated map for drivers who get turned around in Tivoli. The location apps on our phones, Waze and Google Maps, worked on and off and sometimes poorly in the area. Still, highly recommended! David and Chantal Gardiner from Normandy

The young hosts were lovely and helpful, sharing plenty of useful tips for visiting and enjoying the city. There are free and paid parking options nearby. Our room was beautiful and very clean, with a small open-plan layout, a sitting area, and a double bed. It was tastefully furnished, and the bathroom had everything we needed.

We were sent very detailed information about Tivoli’s sights and restaurants before arriving, and the owners even left us two small bottles of water for the journey when we said goodbye. They deserve a special mention. Finding a small bottle of water and two coffee capsules in the room was a lovely surprise. The ancient tower has been renovated beautifully, with antiques alongside all the modern comforts. The windows don’t block outside noise very well, though luckily the property is on a quiet alley. I wouldn’t try to drive down that alley, even just to unload luggage. The nearby paid parking lots are only a short walk away. I really hope we get the chance to return!
