The meals were the best part, with two chefs alternating at lunch and dinner to make healthy food from fresh ingredients. There’s also a natural bio-lake just a few metres away, where you can swim and cool off on hot days. I stayed at this renovated 16th-century farmhouse for a summer theatre program with actress Enrica Barel. It’s fairly small, with room for no more than twenty people. The rooms are clean but a bit spartan, and although there’s no TV or air conditioning, they stay cool. One minor drawback is that several rooms on the same floor share a bathroom.

The woman who greeted us was especially kind. We arrived last Sunday without a booking to see whether we might stay, and liked the relaxed, positive atmosphere straight away. The renovation shows careful attention to detail, and the setting is beautiful, with lots of nearby walking opportunities. We’ll come back to plan dinner or a stay. I can’t understand the negative reviews, since they don’t match what we saw.

Wow, the place is beautiful, rustic, and so well cared for, right down to the finishes. The rooms are cozy, and the location makes it easy to sleep well, relax, and recharge. Breakfast was top-notch, as they say. Highly recommended!

This is an enchanting spiritual retreat, where being close to nature echoes a connection with yourself. The harmonious building keeps its original character and gives you the feeling of stepping back in time. Giovanna and Raffaele are delightful conversationalists with passionate stories to tell. They welcome guests warmly and politely, while staying discreet, and make the place feel like home. Thank you 🌻
