The apartments are roomy, with incredible views and just a few feet from the beach. Still, everything inside is old and needs replacing. Each time someone flushed or turned on a tap, the taps made a loud screech that went on through the night and kept us awake. I told the owner, but nothing changed. There's also a strong smell of gas throughout the apartments. On weekends, the owner's teenage children and their friends held parties in the apartment below, with noise continuing past midnight. During the last two days, work being done meant we couldn't use the garden to park or sit. It brought even more noise early on Saturday and Sunday mornings. We had our five-month-old baby with us, and these issues made the stay unenjoyable.

The parking space was another strong point, and I'd say it's essential. The apartment has no air conditioning, as I learned when booking, but I trusted the owner and was right to. It's well ventilated, the microclimate is fantastic, and sleeping at night was like a dream. With the windows open, you can hear the sea in the quiet, and you'll want to cover up with a sheet. What really makes this place special is the terrace overlooking the whole gulf, with breathtaking sunsets, plus immediate access to a fantastic beach that's practically private and an exceptional sea. Everything else seems negligible beside that.
