We picked Villa Lidia for a weekend with another couple and our two dogs, since we needed somewhere that allowed dogs. It was fine, and the location made it easy to walk to two wineries or enjoy the town and its coffee bar. Just be aware that it’s right on Tocco’s main road, rather than in the quiet olive orchard the pictures might suggest. There were some maintenance issues. The big bathtub had no plug, and when I asked Simone about the cappuccino machine’s broken steam arm, he said he never used it. I also found a huge basket of dirty linens in the unused ground floor bedroom. The kitchen light fixtures need checking too. The beds were worn and uncomfortable, and the pillows were terrible. Luckily, Simone had arranged a few great wineries for us to visit. The place was clean, but it needs better maintenance, mattresses, and bedding.

Simone was immediately available when we called late at night to book for that same evening. Knowing we had children, he added the beds we needed without charging for them. The shared bathroom didn’t make me feel any less at home, especially since there’s one on each floor and the place is so thoughtfully done that I barely noticed it was shared. Everything was spotless, with a lovely, peaceful, welcoming atmosphere, and the linens smelled like home. Simone was professional, courteous, and helpful. Thank you, and kudos to him.

Free parking right in front of the house was handy. The B&B is a modern apartment in a central location, with air conditioning. The friendly, attentive reception manager contacted us that afternoon, shortly after we booked, and was already there when we arrived.

The owner was friendly and helpful, and the studio was extremely clean. It has all the amenities and is only a few steps from the center. Highly recommended.

It’s such a peaceful spot, surrounded by nature, and I’d love to come back. The service was excellent, and someone was always available.
