The room was airy, lovely, and clean, and the property has a beautiful view, a large park, and free parking. Romina made us feel at ease right away when we arrived. In the morning she welcomed us like a mother greeting her children when they wake up, offering breakfast to us and the other guests and chatting about all sorts of things. I’ll definitely stay here again. I recommend it for the lovely, welcoming place and especially for Romina’s kindness.

Romina was cheerful and tireless, and made our one-night stay for a wedding in the area really pleasant. The location is charming, with a romantic view of the bell tower. Breakfast had plenty of homemade tarts and ring cakes from the owner. There’s also a vending machine for drinks, which is handy if you get back late and want water or snacks. For the very competitive price, the rooms were perfectly adequate: rustic and basic, but very clean, with an en suite bathroom, and ours even had a hairdryer. The property is spread across several farmhouses, with different room options and plenty of parking. It’s a great choice if you want nature and beautiful views while still being only a few hundred meters from the historic center and the city bustle. We’ll definitely come back.

I’m writing this two months later, so I can look back without being caught up in the moment. My girlfriend booked a Saturday night in July because she was going to a wedding in Todi. The room she’d chosen on Airbnb was in a separate building and looked lovely. When we arrived, though, we were sent to another room, on the first floor of the main building at the end of the hall, with a “view” of the dining room. That dining room is enclosed under glass, plastic, and metal. The windows were almost closed, and the room was extremely hot and smelly. Worse, by raising the shutters, our room and the two next to it could practically be accessed from the dining room, which had been built right beside the main building. It was hot, and we couldn’t let light in through the windows. There was a fan in front of the bedroom door, as if that were where the air came from. Thankfully, we only spent a few hours in that microwave. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable, but on arrival she cleverly asked us to leave half an hour early because there was a wedding at the property and they needed to turn over the rooms. In return, she let us use the pool. Breakfast was meager and cold, with packaged food. It’s true we don’t eat sweets. There’s ample parking, and the property sits halfway up the hill leading to the base of Todi. It’s a nice ramp, and the location is still central and convenient. I won’t comment on the condition of the room and bathroom. I don’t expect new materials, just livable ones. It pains me to see accommodation owners in Italy and around the world think what they offer is fair and worthwhile at that excessive price. I always wonder if they’re just pretending, if they understand or simply don’t get it. I’ll leave you to draw your own conclusions.

The pool was a welcome treat in the intense July heat, and from the loungers our relatives felt as if they could touch the bell tower of San Fortunato. We picked the Poponi farmhouse for our son’s wedding, inviting relatives from other regions to stay there. It was close to the city center while still being out in the countryside. Our relatives loved the accommodations and the natural beauty, and we were very pleased with Romina’s kindness, helpfulness, smile, and genuine courtesy. It was a wonderful choice and made us look good.

The owner is very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are furnished and very clean. Many have en suite bathrooms, and the prices are reasonable for what’s offered. This is a lovely, tidy, well-kept agriturismo just a stone’s throw from Todi, great for a weekend in the countryside with fresh air and lovely scents.
