Borgo Petroro

The hillside setting gives Petroro Castle amazing views, with plenty of spots to sit and relax. We arrived with our dog unsure what to expect, and found a thoroughly clean, renovated property built over an old village with a main piazzetta. Everyone on staff was kind. Jessika was especially patient and helpful when we asked to add a night and had to weigh different room options. A perfect fit for anyone after a quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

Our wedding celebration weekend at Borgo Petroro was so special, and our guests were blown away. We’ve had so many thank-you messages since. Andrea, the manager, was attentive throughout and took the time to understand what we wanted. His team worked tirelessly to make the party run smoothly, with every detail just right. We couldn’t have asked for a more memorable celebration, and we’ll treasure it for years.

The rooms are small but cozy, and we’d recommend the stay. The two gentlemen by the pool gave us great service and did an excellent job looking after us. On arrival, we would’ve liked more information about the amenities and the restaurants on site. The pool bar suited us better than the fancier restaurant, which was the only one reception mentioned. Maybe that was because of a language barrier.

Umbria’s countryside made a beautiful setting for a calm, relaxing stay. Our room was spacious, had everything we needed, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed an aperitif outside with a fantastic view, then had very good food and local wine in the restaurant. The lady at reception was kind and competent, though unfortunately I don’t know her name. Maitre Mansour also deserves a special thanks for serving our aperitifs and dinner so professionally, with a great sense of humor. What a wonderful, magical hotel.
