I’d gladly consider this apartment again if I’m in the area. It was carefully kept and right in Todi’s historic center. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay in this spacious, charming apartment, which has been recently renovated and is very well maintained. Its spot in the historic center is excellent, with parking close by. The owner was a huge help and even made room for a special need we had. Highly recommended!

Todi is a little Italian gem, and during our stay it welcomed us with its Notte Bianca (White Night) event. There was lots of live music around the apartment, but we couldn’t hear any of it inside. Waking up in Umbria is always soothing, and Grillotti Apartment felt just as relaxing. The apartment itself is roomy and comfortable, with wooden ceiling beams and parquet floors. Even on hot days it stays wonderfully cool. The kitchen and bathroom amenities are all new, clean, and working perfectly, and the cleaning was meticulous. The owner was friendly, hospitable, and very helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. A bit of history about the building: it stands next to the now-deconsecrated church of SS Filippo e Giacomo. There’s a doorway to the church from the basement, which was most likely the sacristy. In the 16th century, the apartment and the buildings to its left were a convent. Old maps show them as cells, including two on the mezzanine floor where the two windows are. Later it became a refectory, then, in the early 1900s or possibly earlier, a public school called the Scuole Pie. The dwellings made from the former convent are still connected to one another by passageways.

The apartment is spacious and simply furnished in a very pleasant way. From here, it’s easy to wander the narrow medieval lanes between the tall houses and get to the stunning Piazza del Popolo. Public parking and a covered spot for motorcycles are both very close.

This may be the best place in Todi. The only drawback is all the stairs, both near the apartment on the way in and around town. There are also steps inside the apartment, which could be dangerous for some older people.
