The pool is a lovely extra, and the whole place has so much character. It’s a huge property dating back to the 17th century, and a wonderful place to stay. Todi is lovely too, and the surrounding area is well worth exploring. One of my favourite places in Italy. Highly recommend it.

The historic setting surprised us in places and really drew us in. Ten of us spent three days there, surrounded by a warm, welcoming atmosphere that added to the New Year’s feeling. It was comfortable and cozy.

We had some lovely breakfasts around the large round table, which makes it easy to enjoy meals together. The billiard room is spacious, with big windows looking out onto a breathtaking view. It’s a very charming historic residence. The bathrooms are the one drawback, as they’re a bit cramped.

I came home feeling like a princess after a fairytale stay. The villa dates from the 16th century, with a swimming pool among rose gardens and a centuries-old park all around it. Inside, there are three floors of frescoed rooms, with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The dining room is magnificent, with panoramic windows, and the kitchen has an enormous fireplace. Spectacular place. Highly recommended!
