The location made it easy to spend a peaceful week in town and explore on foot. We enjoyed the walks uphill to Montepiatto and along the scenic Strada Regia to Molina. The house has plenty of sleeping space across several floors, each with its own toilet, so it works well for families or groups. Communication was smooth, and the detailed online guide made arrival easy. The place has lots of character, from its quirky, old-fashioned interiors to the narrow walking street outside. It was well equipped, though there were a few small annoyances: the top-floor toilet flushed weakly, there were some cobwebs on the dining chairs, the street-level bathroom downstairs had no curtains, the dining room cabinet squeaked, and the entrance lock could be fiddly. These were minor issues and easy enough to overlook given the atmosphere. We had a wonderful week at the Holiday House – Authentic Lake Como and would happily come back. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an atmospheric, authentic stay around Lake Como.
