B&B Casina de Goyzueta

It felt like being welcomed into someone's home, which I've never experienced at a place I've stayed before. Olga and Manuel were so warm and helpful, and the food was lovely. There was a wonderful breeze through the windows, and the gardens smelled heavenly. Everything is beautifully cared for, and the place is queer, gay, and lesbian friendly, which matters a lot. We could walk about ten minutes down to the beach and waves, or ten minutes up to Via Del Monte train station. There's a supermarket on the way between the station and the bnb, so getting food on our first day in Italy was easy. We'll absolutely stay here again when we come back to Italy.

The owners were friendly and hospitable, and even greeted us with a snack. The property has a lovely garden, seating spots, a pool, a tennis court, and gorgeous old trees. From our large room and terrace, Mount vesuvius was right in the background, and the bathroom was roomy and very clean. You wouldn't guess from the surrounding streets that this gated, lush garden hides such a gorgeous hotel. There's a black sand beach and beach club within walking distance, and Pompeii is nearby, with an easy train ride.

We had a lot of fun in the excellent pool, especially with its springboard. Manuel was a wonderful host. The palazzo has a lovely garden and terrace, and we enjoyed a homemade breakfast in the shade. It was a great base for exploring the region's Italian food and culture.

We had a delicious homemade lunch of pasta and lasagna, and playing tennis with the family on that unique court under Vesubio was a highlight. Manuel and Olga were ready to help with anything, and made our days at Villa Goyzueta feel like a five-star experience. The villa is also a lovely place to meet other guests and relax. We spent a great week in this fascinating place while discovering the beautiful region. It's a palazzo set in nature, with lemon trees, flowers, turtles, birds, an impressive garden, and a beautiful fountain. The pool was amazing for unwinding after Pompeii, hiking Vesubio, or seeing the chaos and beauty of Napoles. The rooms are big, the facilities modern, the cleaning great, and the homemade breakfast extraordinary. Hope we can come back soon.
