The view and location were amazing, but the rooms smelled a bit and were tiny. It was dusty around the windows and elsewhere, and without a remote for the AC, the room got too hot.

What made the stay especially nice was the personal attention from this family-run hotel. We got a level of service you don’t often see these days. Parking was plentiful, gated, right beside the hotel, and free. The room was clean and in good repair, though the bed was very firm, as we found generally in Italy. There’s a grocery store right next door, and the beach is across the street, with a private beach club directly in front and a public beach a couple hundred metres away.

The restaurant and lobby staff were usually friendly, but not every time. The place feels more like a cheap hostel than a hotel, and the rooms and beds are poor quality. Housekeeping comes once a day; if you’re in the room then, they don’t come back until the next day. The cleaning wasn’t good anyway. It seemed like they moved dirt around, and the rags and mops didn’t seem clean. After they’d “cleaned,” our bathroom often smelled strongly of pee. Maybe it works if you’re on a very tight budget, but our stay wasn’t good.

The staff were kind, and the views are lovely, especially from the big second-floor balcony. But the rooms are badly worn, some showers flood the bathroom, and the food is really bad.
