The garden and pool were kept up so well, better than Buckingham palace, and the shops nearby made it easy to pick up some of the best ice cream. We stayed as a family of 5 for two weeks in July/August 2018. The house itself matched the photos and online description: quiet, comfortable, lovely, with marvelous views and a unique location. The kitchen was unusually well equipped, with everything needed to cook a proper meal. That was a real pleasure after other rentals where the cutlery and dishes were very basic. There’s no AC, but even in midsummer we could keep the house cool by following the owner's instructions, which was a nice bonus for our ecological footprint. There are plenty of interesting tourist sites within an hour’s drive if you feel like leaving this little gem. Finding a comfortable house in peaceful surroundings gets harder each year, partly because booking site listings don’t always match reality. If you’d rather be in a bucolic setting, with nearby farms and olive groves, than in a busy city, this is an ideal place to book.
