The hosting fell short of the place’s philosophy and of what we expected. The warmth and generosity felt rationed, as though hospitality had become a burden instead of a joy. Follonico itself sits in a slice of heaven, with stunning landscape and architecture, and a thoughtful commitment to slow living and caring for the land.

We loved waking to broad views of the Tuscan hills, then walking through the vineyard and reading with the rabbits and geese. The bed was super comfortable, and I appreciated having three pillow options as someone picky about pillows. Suzanne & Fabio are genuine, attentive, and clearly passionate about sharing their home and region. Meals made with fresh local ingredients were carefully put together, and the room design showed the same thought and care. The farmhouse combines rustic charm with modern touches, and feels both luxurious and connected to the land. Follonico gave us a real sense of peace and authenticity, a chance to slow down, savor the time, and connect with Tuscany. It’s a lovely retreat for comfort and a strong sense of place. We can’t wait to return.

The breakfasts were simple and beautiful, and our rooms felt cozy and full of character. Fabio and Suzanne work incredibly hard, and have made Follonico into a beautiful, calm, welcoming little sanctuary. The property feels harmonious, right down to the lovely pets and animals around the garden and farm. There’s something magical and energetic about this place that I haven’t found anywhere else. We stayed four nights, and I’d recommend Follonico if you want to feel immersed in nature and properly away from it all.

Four nights at Follonico didn’t feel like enough. I was genuinely sad to leave, and it holds a special place in my heart. I’m already looking forward to another visit. The saltwater pool overlooks the grounds, and the rooms are gorgeous in a thoughtfully designed property. With a maximum capacity of 12, it was lovely to get to know the other guests and share good conversation over home-cooked meals. Fabio and Suzanne made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. They’re warm, welcoming, and attentive to every need, with great suggestions for nearby towns to explore. The meals were delicious, made with fresh ingredients from local farms, including their own. Follonico is a charming agriturismo tucked into a Tuscan valley, with spectacular views at every turn. It’s a wonderful place to slow down, relax, and take in the countryside. I can’t recommend it enough.
