Hotel La Piccola Stazione

The best hotel around here.

The rooms felt a little old-fashioned, though they were warm, comfortable, and very clean. The owner gave me a lovely welcome. I spent one night here while touring with a theater group, and this small hotel just outside Torrita di Siena suited me well.

We could come and go whenever we liked, since they gave us a key to the front door. On a rainy afternoon we relaxed in the comfortable TV lounge, and breakfast was tasty, with a good mix of sweet and savory options. You have to ask for what you'd like, though, as there's no buffet table and the food is brought over from the kitchen. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean, with a TV and a minibar that had complimentary water. The bathroom had a shower, window, hairdryer, towels, and soap. The first two floors have elevator access, but you need to take the stairs from the second floor to reach the third. The small hotel is outside the historic center, but well placed near the train station and a large supermarket, with plenty of parking. A good experience.

The rooms were neat and clean, and the beds were good. The hotel itself is lovely and well cared for, and breakfast was good too.
