Siena House

We stayed at Siena House from October 22-31 with our two children, and it was a wonderful family holiday. We were the last guests of the season, so the whole house and its comforts were ours. From the moment we arrived, Melvin and Amanda made us feel at home, and they were kind and reliable throughout, from booking through departure. They also shared thoughtful suggestions for day trips and local restaurants. Breakfast was a daily highlight: Melvin baked fresh bread each morning, and there were homemade jams, fruit salad, eggs, cappuccino, and his amazing homemade Greek yogurt. He even put together a special mix of nuts and seeds when we asked. We loved our stay and found it memorable.

We loved the saltwater pool and the location, which let us do as much or as little as we felt like. Malvin and Amanda's suggestions for exploring and places to eat were spot on, and we can't wait to return. Their hospitality felt just right: we had the freedom to use the guest kitchen and wander around the property, with space and few other people around, but without the work of renting a whole villa. Breakfast was something we looked forward to each morning, especially seeing what Malvin had made. The rooms were spacious, cool, mosquito free, and had beautiful bathrooms. Having laundry done was a real help too. I don't usually write reviews, but this relaxing holiday at Siena House deserved one.

The setting was a dream, with peaceful nature, morning light, and grand views. Siena House also sits in a central spot for seeing Tuscany. Amanda and Malvin were phenomenal hosts. We felt at home and well cared for, and our hearts are full after their welcoming us into their home. We hope we’re lucky enough to return someday. We ended up extending our stay to six nights because we enjoyed Siena House so much. The property is comfortable, lovely, and handy for visiting many sites and restaurants, and we left feeling like part of the family. Malvin and Amanda went beyond our high expectations, and the fresh breakfasts, with jams, yogurt, eggs, and more, were a pleasure each morning. Our nine month old daughter loved the animals and Malvin’s fresh bread. The house had what we needed for a baby, including a crib and high chairs. It's a great place for families, and their nine year old son Henry kept us and the other families' kids entertained with his energy and wit. We also made good use of the clean swimming pool, which was a great size and had a lovely view. Siena House was the main reason for our trip to Italy, and we can't wait to come back.
