Hotel Abba 'e Murta

We spent four nights at Abba e Murta and would happily stay again. The setting is peaceful, central for many points of interest, and nicely kept. Our room was comfortable and spacious, though a couple of things could use an update, like adding some mosquito nets. Every staff member we met was extremely friendly and helpful.

The restaurant was amazing, with great food at reasonable prices, though breakfast was only average. We really enjoyed our stay overall. The hotel sits on a hillside with mountains in view and a vineyard in the middle, so it feels wonderfully quiet and relaxing. Staff were kind and the service was great, plus there’s a little shop for snacks, ice cream, and drinks all day. The pool was lovely, but there’s no Wi-Fi there, only in the lobby. Room placement varies: we were halfway up the hill above the vineyard near the restaurant, which was perfect. Lower rooms looked less appealing, while the rest are at the top in the reception building. Our room was spacious and pretty clean, but Wi-Fi wasn’t available in it, and we could hear everything going on next door.

A lovely little oasis, with delightful beaches not far away. The staff were welcoming, always smiling, and really helpful. We had to leave early on our last day and couldn’t make breakfast, so they thoughtfully offered us a snack to take with us. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are friendly, but we barely had any hot water, and the bathroom was tiny and old. For what it costs, I expected a lot more. We ate really well at the restaurant, though it was a bit expensive. Try the ravioli, and the wine from their own vineyard was good. The view is lovely, but the smoking area sits very close to the dining tables.
