Villa Floriana

The breakfasts are a real treat, with homemade yogurt and cakes, fruit, and fresh croissants. Alice (such a lovely lady) and Mrs. Floriana also served us a delicious Neapolitan pastiera on August 15th. We’ve stopped at Villa Floriana on the way to Salento for three years in a row, and this time we stayed for 10 days. It’s a beautiful spot, and the owners are attentive and kind, like one big family. The stay was so relaxing, and pets are welcome. Our cat was thrilled. I’d gladly come back and highly recommend it.

The views are lovely, with the sea in sight, a small pool, and Tortoreto’s historic center nearby. But I’d only stay here for one night, no longer. The rooms are dark, the furnishings look pre-war, and the cleanliness could be better. Breakfast was really poor, with not even an espresso available. Otherwise, I’d avoid it.

Fabio and Gianni, thank you so much! We were very happy with our stay and would definitely come back if we get the chance. We spent one night in a family room that worked well for us. The staff were very welcoming, and the place was pleasant, well-kept, and had a lovely view.

Breakfast in the garden, with birds and cicadas for company, was a lovely way to start the day. The coffee came from a moka pot, just like at home, and everything else was homemade, including the pastries and yogurt. It was all served with smiles and kindness. The setting on the hill at Tortoreto Alto is stunning, with sweeping views over the valley and sea, and even Gran Sasso. The grounds are full of beautiful plants, and the pool looks refreshing just to see. Everywhere was well cared for and clean. Our room was stylishly furnished, and the ensuite bathroom was clean and comfortable. The management was friendly, courteous, and efficient, and the welcome was warm. They even met us at the convenient, secure parking lot. A really pleasant experience, and one I’d recommend to everyone. Five stars don’t feel like enough.
