Salinello Camping Village

We found the bungalow clean and tidy, with air conditioning and a dishwasher, which was essential. The welcome kit was handy, but the kitchen had only very basic utensils. We missed a jug, salad spinner and scissors, and the stainless steel pan kept burning our food, so a proper nonstick one would have helped. The cleaners did a great job keeping everything neat. The camper bathroom is clean, though a bit old and could do with renovation. The beach and its bar are lovely. The sea is clean and shallow near the shore, so it suits children and families. There are toilets and showers, though the beach itself has no playground, which is available at the campsite. Salinello’s mobile pizza stand was great, with a tasty margherita for 3.50€. The kids’ pool was warm and a good depth at 80 cm. There’s also a larger pool with a jacuzzi area. We only joined the baby dance, which was fun, although it started at 21.30, probably not late for Italian families. The village sits right by the beach, but campers and tents are at the back, near the railway. Trains run through the night and are quite loud. Staff were friendly, though we wished they’d been more accommodating about an early bungalow check-in and where our beach umbrellas were placed, especially since not all the bungalows and umbrellas were in use. We were also told we couldn’t stay another half day because everything would be booked the next day. There were 12 empty flats on our road, so that didn’t seem to be true. Salinello village has pleasant bungalows, mobile homes and camper pitches. It’s a nice, clean place right on the beach and works well for families, but some things need renovation and improvement for a 4* village.

We had a really nice family holiday here. The rooms were lovely and very clean, and the entertainment was good. Everyone on the staff was helpful. Well done to the whole team.
