Fabio was a terrific host, always friendly, helpful, and ready with a smile and good advice. My wife and I spent a week at Ostellosullago in Ponte Caffaro, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. The rooms were cozy, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean, with a great price. Right beside picturesque Lake Idro, the location is ideal, and the boat dock is only a short walk away. We felt at home in the communal area, with its well-equipped kitchen and drinks fridge. Residents can also use the ample free parking behind the house. Thanks, Fabio, for a fantastic week. We’ll be back soon!

Fabio, the manager, is very friendly, and during the warmer months he rents out gear for cycling, climbing, canoeing, and more. There’s also a camper area. The hostel sits right on the shore of enchanting Lake Idro, just a few steps from Ponte Caffaro. The four-person rooms are comfortable, have private bathrooms, and open onto a lovely lake-view terrace. Downstairs there’s a spacious shared room with a fridge, a TV room, board games, and what you need to heat up breakfast. A very positive experience, we’ll be back.

Even with the rain, we had a really pleasant stay. The owners were friendly and ready to help, and nearby there were spots for aperitifs or a quick bite, plus a few restaurants with gluten-free choices. The hostel is next to their fully equipped camper area. The name "hostel" doesn't quite prepare you for the rooms, which are new, roomy, nicely furnished, and each has its own bathroom. Downstairs there's a shared space with sofas and a TV, as well as a kitchen with a microwave and dishwasher. There's also plenty of green space out front overlooking the lake.
