Hotel Adria & Resort

The pool was clean and clear, and a refreshing place to spend time. We were here on a school tour and enjoyed the stay overall, especially the lovely view. The staff were very nice, and the owner was particularly kind and helpful. The rooms do feel dated, though, and it would be better if guests could operate the A.C. themselves.

Housekeeping was excellent, and some of the women serving breakfast were really friendly, as was one of the innkeepers. Breakfast itself was very simple but fine. I didn't feel comfortable with the welcome, though, and the room was basic. A fridge would have been useful. Dinner on our first night was a terrible idea. My husband and I ordered carbonara, but it came as pasta with scrambled eggs, with lots of liquid and a really bad taste. I couldn't eat it. Our daughter's pizza was good, but honestly I wouldn't come back.

The staff were pleasant, and the outdoor area was lovely in the morning sun. We stayed four nights while visiting Lake Garda. Our room was spacious, but very basic, and the mattress was so hard we struggled to sleep. On the first evening, food was served without anyone telling us what it was. When I said I don't eat meat, they took it away and brought sliced tomatoes and mozzarella instead. That hardly counted as an evening meal. We wouldn't return.

We paid €85 a night and it felt like the place should cost twice that. The rooms were good quality for budget prices, and we had a lovely time. There's a great pool beside a shady lawn, plus the nearest public beach is only a two-minute walk away. Part of the beach is for dogs, which was a lot of fun. This is the good side of the lake, and street parking is free.
