The house is spacious and has a fenced garden for the dog, and the residence is in a quiet, convenient spot about a 15-minute walk from the lake. Those were the main positives for us. We also appreciated being allowed to have an extra person stay one night without an added charge apart from the tourist tax, though they didn't provide towels for that person. There were too many things wrong with the place. The shower didn't work, some sun loungers were broken, and the bar never opened. The stereo was never used either. Maintenance in both the apartments and pool area seemed nonexistent. The door handles were partly broken and could get stuck in your hand. Some dishes weren't properly clean when we arrived, including pasta residue in the pot. The dishwasher worked sometimes and failed other times. The burners are so close to the wall that turning the heat up could burn it. I don't know whether that meets the requirements. The parking situation was awful. We were told when booking that spots inside the residence were reserved, but on arrival it was first come, first served, so we had to hope one was free. We booked Casa Iole for six people, though it can sleep up to eight, and the caretaker showed us a second back door that could serve as a separate entrance and exit. Without warning or asking if it was a problem, they then had us park right in front of it, making it unusable. Communication between Mrs. Rosa, the on-site caretaker who manages the apartments, and the owners, who we contacted on WhatsApp, seemed poor. Mrs. Rosa's welcome wasn't warm. She didn't even smile and seemed annoyed to see us. The location and house had potential, but there were too many problems. It felt like a lakeside business concerned only with making money, not keeping guests. No hospitality, kindness, or attention. We won't come back.
