La Casa sul Colle

There’s a lovely pool and big garden, and the house works well for a group of up to 18, with several bathrooms. It sits on a hilltop with 360-degree views over sunflower fields, Fermo, and even the sea. The bedrooms upstairs and in the attic are pleasant, but there’s no dishwasher. With nature all around, insects do get into the house, so it may not suit anyone especially bothered by them. When we arrived, the house wasn’t spotless.

The house and location deserve five stars, but the management needs work. The kitchen wasn’t up to the number of guests, with partly broken fittings and recycled materials, and there were small maintenance issues with outlets, drains, and shower hoses. Cats were living in the attic, and people kept coming in to feed them without telling the guests. That’s a real concern for anyone with allergies. The rest is lovely: a spacious living room, a veranda with dining tables, ping-pong and foosball, a large pool, and attractive grounds kept in good shape. The bedrooms on the first floor and in the attic are well equipped.

We come here regularly on Easter Monday. The famous fried tagliatelle are always amazing, and the asado and lamb are delicious too. A well-deserved five stars.

A lovely spot with a beautiful view, good for an overnight stay as a couple or in a group. The road feels a little isolated, but it’s only about ten minutes from the historic center.
